Boston's Reset Is Real

Boston being whole again is enough to put the Celtics back where serious teams belong in the conversation. Jaylen Brown is central to that case. Jayson Tatum being back is central to that case. If you needed a reason to stop talking about Boston like a wounded version of itself, there it is.

What that does not do is hand out automatic trust. Health restores the outline. It does not automatically clean up the hardest possessions a title team eventually has to survive.

Do Not Upgrade Them Too Fast

The lazy leap is obvious: the stars are back, so the old doubts should disappear. No. That is comfort talking. A healthier Boston deserves to be taken seriously as a championship threat again because the top-end talent is back in place. That is a real change.

But a real change is not the same thing as a finished answer. Contenders do not get the full benefit of the doubt just because the rotation looks more like itself. They get it when their best version looks dependable in the moments that punish loose hierarchy and fuzzy decision-making.

The Right Calibration

So the verdict is simple. Raise Boston back into the tier that matters. Do not pretend that alone settled the last argument. Being whole again reopens belief. It does not entitle Boston to the cleanest version of it yet.
